    Some of the other cords sold here on Amazon that claim to be for the 1490′s do NOT work but this cord works perfectly with my NUVI 1490-LMT. I believe this is the oem NON-TRAFFIC cord for this family of Garmins – says Garmin on the side even. The car cord with “lifetime traffic updates” that I paid extra for is thick and unwieldy and, since most areas DO NOT HAVE traffic updates, is also completely useless. This cord is lot more convenient.

    Initially i was bit skeptical whether this charger will fit my Garmin Nuvvi 260W GPS or not. It’s perfect. My GPS is charging normal like it used to do with the old original charger

    This is th exact same 12V power cord that ships with many Garmin Nuvi models. Useful as a spare, or to keep in a second vehicle. It costs a few dollars more than other manufacturer’s after-market styles, but knowing it is well made and will hold-up over repeated moving in and out of multiple vehicles seems like it is worth the investment.
